Club Bearliners

Bearlin

Ignasi Calvo at the piano and keyboards, Jordi Rabascall as singer and both in compositions stemming from these two distinct but complementary mentalities. That is Bearlin's creative core. Their influences are many. We may talk about renowned artists like Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, U2, Pink Floyd and also current bands like Scissor Sisters, Ulrich Schnauss or Mercury Rev. But we shouldn't discard the trace left by people like David Bowie, Pulp, New Order, Simple Minds and Roxy Music. Styles like chillout and British pop give the finishing touch to this sort of influences, always full of new surprises. Both members knew each other when they were already musicians, 8 years ago, and decided to bet for their own path.

Bearlin were runners-up at the XII Pop-Rock Villa de San Adrián festival (2007), Heineken Greenspace (2006), Proyecto Demo (2004) and the CityTV/Sinnamon Productions' contest City-Muac! (2003). They played at Club 100 from Cadena 100, at the Espacio Movistar, as support band for Anne Clark at the Apolo in Barcelona, and in many venues and towns across Spain, where they always had good reviews (Computer Music, Clave Profesional, Diario de Navarra, etc.) Their last piece was DJ Abel Almena's song I Want More, presented at the Millenium discotheque (Girona) last January and included in several Spanish hit collections (Technics the original sessions and Máxima Fm compilation).

Bearlin comes back to life at every concert. ‘Cause every stage is unique, every audience is peculiar and every date is different. Their particular way to understand live performances turn Bearlin into an ongoing surprise. Their audience never boasts repetition, only new discoveries. We talk about an electroacoustic formation. A combination of electronic bases and programs accompanied by guitars, pianos, drums and voice. Visuals are carried out by VJ Gastón Paganini while the musicians accompanying the band are Genaro Alonso at guitars and Carles Domingo at drums and percussions.
